No, XP is fine, Vista is what's "HOT" and new, and it is a serious resource hog, meaning that while it provides lots of pretty pictures and a nice way of seeing things, it needs a very high end machine to function well, IE 2 gigs of ram, and a 3ghz machine to run decently...

Plus, ALOT of people have been having many issues while installing it over XP.

if xp is running fine on your pc, then wait til vista comes out with the 1st service pack to fix the bugs.

keep xp...vista crashes computers if u install on xp home, pro, or media unless you have like 4gb of ram and like 160gb of hd space (hard drive)

I would not consider it unless you are running a dual core processor and have at least 1GB RAM.

I would also wait for service pack 1 due in the fall.
