Why do some (many) liberals contend that (all) conservatives are racist?

This really ticks me off. Is it because conservatives believe that minorities are capable human beings that we need not "lower the bar" for?

If as liberals contend, that minorities NEED special consideration then wouldn't you conclude that liberals actually believe a minority does NOT have the capabilities and talents of their white counterparts? So who are really the racists here?

And what of conservatives that ARE minorities? Do they hate themselves? Isn't equal suppose to be equal for all?

Nobody believes "minorities" (a person is only a "minority" if you label people and seperate them into groups - a big liberal no-no) are incapable, or that conservatives are racist. What they believe is that human beings like hand-outs, and don't like being labeled racist. SO if you can get people to vote for handouts to be sent to "minorities" by calling people who don't want to racists, you've solved two problems: YOu've stifled discent, and wrapped up the minority vote, assuring you keep power to do what you really want - which is to create a European style socialist state.

Yes, I agree with you. I think liberals stereotype conservatives so that they smear the conservatives beliefs in the mud and win elections. I honestly think there are more racists liberals(reverse racism) than conservatives. Conservatives give minorities more chances to succeed than Liberals.

Liberals don’t believe that minorities NEED special consideration because they are less capable but because the majority perceive of them as being less capable.
So, not only do they have to work as hard as the majority to be successful and capable they also NEED to do all of the extra work of convincing the majority that they are as capable, and that just not fair.
Liberals aren't trying to lower the bar they trying to bring to light the fact that minorities here and everywhere in the world are treated differently.
It’s much easier on your psyche and the budget to pretend that it’s not happening, but it is, every day.

I don't believe all conservatives are racist. Based on my own experience, however, I've come to the saddening conclusion that there appears to be a greater percentage of racists on the conservative side of things. At the same time I genuinely try to remind myself that my experience is not necessarily indicative of the wider truth and thus try not to assume every conservative I meet is racist. However, it seems that most conservatives I meet invariably say something I consider racist within a short time of knowing them. I truly do hope I am wrong though.

To respond to the second part of your question, it does frustrate me that there are all sorts of special programs for minorities. I do feel, as you do, that such programs in and of themselves suggest that someone believes minorities can't make it on their own inherently as it does not seem to consider economic class. I wish scholarships would be based on income and not race. What does that say to the middle class black kid who wins it over the poor white kid? We know you're richer, but we still think you're too pathetic to make it on your own. Really nice...

If a child is poor, regardless of race, I believe they ought to have help. It's one thing to reward welfare moms, but I can hardly see a reason to sit there and say that a low income CHILD is mooching off the system.
