One of my friends got pregnant when she was 14, and she's 15 now and she's had her baby and I'm going to visit her. This is the first time seeing her in like a year.

I feel really weird going to visit her. We used to be really good friends and went to school together, but her mom pulled her out of school to go to a private school.

Anyone got any advice on what we could talk about? Thanks in advance! :)

hi, i have been on the opposite side of this situation. when i got pregnant at 16, at first i got a lot of attention, i guess bc teen pregnancy is so glamourized or something. but then, ppl slowly started dropping out of my life. i found out who my real friends were. your friend is probably craving some time with old friends. she has so many responsibities right now, and she probably just wants to feel like a normal teenager sometimes. just talk about school, gossip, who is dating who, the normal stuff you would talk about with friends. and let her talk about the baby as much as she wants! she probably doesnt have many ppl to talk to about being a mom. on your side of things, you may fee like you have nothing to offer her bc she has been thru so much, but really, im sure she would love to just hang out and feel normal. its hard being a young mom. i felt like i had nothing in common with anyone. other ppl my age couldnt relate to me, and i certainly couldnt relate to older parents. it can get really lonely. as nervous as you are feeling, she is probably feeling just as nervous, if not more! if you have questions, about babies or labor or anything, just ask her! all moms, even teen moms, love sharing their birth stories and talking about their kids. she could probably use a good friend right now and maybe you can be that person.

Talk about anything the same way you did when you guys were still close! Gossip is always good. Talk about school, friends and stuffs, or anything that you both like (music, movies, etc.), you know, try to catch up with anything that you guys missed from each other. Maybe you can bring a yearbook or photo album and stuffs to be a conversation starter!

Then communicate on your boyfriend and tell him the style you sense. tell him which you love being with him yet while he's along with his pals he seams to forget approximately you and this makes you sense uncomfortable, at the same time arise with techniques you may replace into greater inclusive and element of the their conversations. or basically hear to what's being mentioned and grant your opinion do no longer look ahead to an invitation, positioned your 2 cents in this way his pals and him will income understand for you and seem to you on your poinion

Thats just because you havent seen her in awhile.Talk about old times,,the baby,,how your lives are now.I think once you get together,,conversation will flow naturally.Your probably just a tad nervous about seeing her again.Congradulate her on her baby.Yes she was young to have a baby but she did it,,she could have been selfish but she wasn't ;O) Stay friends & enjoy your time together.

Just be yourself and try really hard to understand her life has changed drastically. Be prepared to talk about "baby" things but also talk about yourself. Really "good" friends stick it out through thick and thin. I can already tell you are a good friend to her...by being concerned enough to ask this question.!

well you could talk about the memories you had in school and how the people are doing at ur school now (like people she used to know) and you can ask her about her school and her friends if you start a conversation it will just keep flowing.

She's still the same good friend you knew before. It might be awkward at first, but you can break the ice by treating her just the same as you did before she had her baby. You can be good friends again, so just be yourself and before you know it you two will be comfortable again.

Ask her about how she's been and her baby and stuff. Even though she's young, I'm sure she's still got plenty to say about her baby.
