Your corn snake may have mites! Carefully check his scales for small black dots, if any are present obtain a bottle of rid-mite from your local pet supply and carefully follow the instructions. Mites are difficult to get rid of and cleaning your tank or cage will be necessary in order not to reinfect your snake. I hope this is not the case so good luck!

Check the temp in the tank, maybe it is too warm. We have a royal python and she goes into the water
when she is too warm or when she is shedding
