In psychology, correlation statistics are calculated to show the strength of relationship between one psychological variable/factor, such as introversion, with another, such as sociability.

1.00 = maximum or total correlation. 0.00 = no correlation at all. A correlation of + 0.40 or -0.40 sould be significant, and the correlation gets even stronger as the correlation factor approaches 1.00.

The weakest relationship would be +.16, because it's closer to 0.00 than the others.

Correlations can be positive or negative. For example, -.74, suggests that the stronger one variable is, the weaker the other variable will be, or a very strong negative correlation.

Mercy, I hope this is helpful.

The answer is +.16. Total correlation would be either a correlation coefficient of +1 or -1 and 0 is the weakest correlation. Out of the three numbers, +.16 is the closest number to 0 so it is the weakest corrolation.

Hope this helps,
Suzanne
