Get a local newspaper and look at its editorial page for ideas.

Basically you are going to state your opinion about your subject.

An editorial is the opinion of the newspaper's editorial board. I take it that this is for a school newspaper. Take an issue that is important in your school and form an opinion on it. It can be anything from school policy to how bad the cafeteria food is or is not. That is what you write about. They usually are not bylined. Check any newspaper for examples. Good luck!

Look in your local newsapaper under the editorial section and go from there. It s usually just a n eloquent way of stating yoru opinion and trying to persuade people to agree with you concerning said subject. Good Luck!

i have joined feature writing contest, editorial contest,,, etc... but editorial writing is not my field.......... but i learned so much from losing such contest.. In editorial writing , u must give ur opinion,, freely and fearlessly.... instead of using I, my, you, he, she,,,,,,,,,,,,,, try to use us, we, they ,them, everyone...... in here , you include all the readers whatever they are,, and that they'll consider themselves as part of the topic..... for example in an editorial writing concerning the community,,, it is not only "you or he or she or i or my" is concerned but "us, we, they, them, everyone".... because WE, all of us,, are involve in any community problem,,,, ryt????
