Marta has $24 and Heidi has $12.
How I figured it out......
Well because 36 right Marta has twice as much as Heidi so twice as much has to equal 36 and the only one that would work would be 24 because that's twice as much as 12 and them two together equal 36!

Let X=Heidi's money
Therefore 2X=Mata's money
X+2X=36
3X=36
X=12 and 2X=24
Heidi has $12 Marta has $24
