i also saw this interview with nicholas cage..were he was like "i get so many things for free that i dont need..the other day i was in a bar the bartender keep giving me free drinks, and i told him why dont you give 'em to that guy, he looks like he needs them"
and i've heard and actually seen the things they get. the goodies round up for about $5000. why do they get this stuff for free when they could afford them?

Simple. because there are enough losers out there that will go to a restaurant, bar or club JUST BECAUSE some celebrity was there.

I've often wondered why there isn't a greater understanding of how this works. If I had a product to sell, and I could put that product in the hands of a celebrity, I'd gladly do so. If Prada wants to give away 75 bags that cost them 10 bucks to make, to A and B list celebs, They only need to sell 2-4 to the entire United States to make back their loss. That is a killer deal. Think of it as a free advetisement, or a business card for the fashion or cosmetics industry.

Because they know if the fans see their fav star with something, they want to go out and buy that item, whatever it may be. The company ends up making there money any way.
