(x-4y)(-3x-2y)
first take the x and multipy it
-3x^2-2xy
then multipy the -4y
-12xy+8y^2
Then add them together
-3x^2-14xy+8y^2
And put them in proper order
-3x^2+8y^2-14xy
Then if you need to simplify
x(-3x+8y^2-14y) and so on. That should get you started.
