I started getting hairs on my chin and sideburns around age 13, but it's different for all guys. There are some young college guys I know that are 19 - 21 and they barely have whiskers at all. Some guys never really grow a beard and others can have really thick beards at a early age; beards are genetic. Look at your dad's or granddad's whiskers for a reference to what yours will become.

One last thing though, a guy's beard is said to not be at its fullest until he's 35 yrs. So if your young you've still got lots of time.

Hope this helps.

It's all down to genes. With most boys it begins around 14, but some are dramatically early and some never grow beards or moustaches at all...

It all depends. Some boys start growing beards and moustaches when they are in about 8th grade, some not so much do they grow beards and moustaches ever.

Usually between 16 and 20. The progression is pubic hair, underarm hair, and then beards.
