The beaches and resorts are some of the most beautiful in the world. If you travel to Cabo San Lucas, you will see one of the world's rarities.... where two oceans meet. It is also a deep sea fisherman's paradise. Mexico City is multi-faceted, and the quality of the air is awful. Guadalahara is beautiful. Many retired Americans live around the lake there... and live far more cheaply than than can in the US. The Mexican people are very friendly and accomodating. I've traveled many times to mexico. My next trip will be the famous Copper Canyon train ride.

Live here. Love it. I notice that some of remarks on this site are 20 to 30 years old: the water, the food. It isn't your Grandma's Mexico. Crime is a problem in the border towns, but every country has its own crime problems. Mexico has bottled water and is the second largest consumer next to the US. Strict controls on food and produce...spinach and lettuce from the US was recently banished. We have internet cafes, ATM machines, clinics and hospitals, dentists, pharmacies. Smart, generous people eager to step up in the world.

Lived there 10 years and loved the culture, food, and geography. I found the Mexican people to be the most gracious I've encountered anywhere, and I'm pretty well traveled.
We intend to retire to Mexico, so I guess that pretty much says it all.

I think someday Americans will need to get across the border but will not be able to because of some fence. I love Mexico, the people, the heritage, the food and their soccer team.
God bless us all...

Not sure what you are looking for in regards to an answer. I have friends that live in Mexico and we talk about the immigration issue, and they agree as Mexicans, that the government there needs to be fixed, that is the reason why so many sneak into our country. But then again - 11 million illegals in the US - they should go back to their country and fix what's broken instead of running away from it.

I hot spanish country to the south of USA. The people wear sombreros and eat tortillas. They keep trying to break into the US. They're quite good at soccer. Their athletes wear green. The Aztecs used to be in Mexico. Mexico city is the world's largest city.
