Depending on where you are and what you want made, it may be easy or difficult to get made. Items with even, thin walls, in clear are usually made by scientific glassblowers. Pieces that are to be a specific shape may be mold blown, which not a lot of people do, or may be hand worked, in this case both by furnace glass workers. But that is artistic and they may not want to do your piece. What is a lot of money to you may not be to the glass worker - expect to spend over $100, which includes putting up with you and getting exactly what you want.

Contact the glass-blowing department at Kent State University. I'm sure you will find somone there interested in a project.

The owners of my town's local art gallery are both into glass blowing...and they have a big network of glassworking friends. You can visit their web page at www.thomasjune.com, and there's an email link at the bottom.
