maybe not technically cheating but dishonest, you should come clean or your conscience will be effected (or mine would), it might even effect your relationship.

Well, the rule of thumb would be any action like that where you have to keep it a secret from your partner to protect their feelings is considered cheating. There are different levels of cheating, of course, and you aren't specific enough on the kind of kiss...whether it was a freindly peck on the cheek or an open mouth, erotic kind of kiss. It isn't a very cool thing to do to show affection in a way that would upset a partner that you are committed to. So, the real question is, does the partner consider this cheating? That's the only opinion that matters.

Define kissing! I know it's stupid question, but there are a ton of men and women who are best friends, and have been for years, who will kiss, but it means absolutely nothing.
If that's not the case, then yes, kissing someone other than your partner is cheating.

You have to determine your own boundaries for such things. If your partner kissed some one other than you how would you feel about it. If you don't care then it's not cheating if you do care then remember that before you kiss someone else

I consider cheating to be kissing too, kissing just leads to more things unless it never happens again. Be careful.

if your in a relationship - committed one that is
kissing would be cheating-but a short hello -good by type kiss (greetings) would not be cheating
anything physical with another would be cheating

definitely yes, if you kiss someone else, your definitely cheating. If you even think about it, then your losing interest in your mate. Make a decision, is it really worth losing this relationship?
