No, it works fine unless you have a wireless one, not all wireless guitars work with Guitar Hero 2, specifically the Freedom V Wireless Controller. It needs a special adapter to work with GH2 because they changed some of the inputs.

Nope, the original guitar controller works great for GH2. That's what I'm using.
Not that I'm using it particularly WELL or anything... >.>
