When interviewing for a job should you tell them that your job was eliminiated or not?

If they ask why you left, then tell them that the company did some restructuring and that your position was eliminated. If the company did actually undergo a downsizing in the same process, that would probably help to add in - but as the other person said, only say that if they ask about it.

i only tell them if i ask. if you are honest they take a better look at that then the fact that you got fired. I told my current employer that i got fired and that it was compleatly my fault for sleeping in too many times. if you lie to them and get the job, they can let you go without warning or severance pay if they find out that you lied

just tell the truth. if that was the case, say it if they ask you. because if they do a check and find out you lied, it wont be good. always be honest.
