You really just need a law license.

How you get into the fashion industry can come from a variety of ways. Maybe your undergrad education is your way in. Maybe personal contacts. Maybe you were just at a law firm, had a fashion client draw you in and you never left. There's really no set way about it.

I can't really think of any law that is specifically settled on fashion design. umm.....nope, none come to mind. And, I went to law school. Basically, you seem to have a conflict of interests here and I only wish mine had been as clear to me as yours now seem to be. Fashion design is a HIGHLY creative field. You need to be able to imagine things, work with your hands and express your vision in the material world. Law, on the other hand, is a desk job (only 5% of all lawyers work in the court system, pleading cases, arguing cases etc.). They push around paper, manage their lives according to court deadlines and try get paid based on how long they spend on a case not by the results (unless you are a trial lawyer and then you get a commission if you win). So...they really are totally different careers and you should do some hard thinking about the kinds of work that make you happy and moreover the lifestyle that will make you happy too. Perhaps, law could be your midlife crisis career change but you want to take a stab at your creative genius side while you are fresh faced and young in spirit. :) good luck!

Concentrate on becoming a good lawyer 1st. If things work out you can get in the fashion industry later.
