When you are earning "3 college hours" you should literally be sitting in 3 hours of that class per week. If its a semester total, like say 30, then you will have spent 30 real hours in that class for the semester. Good luck freshy!

Ok it's pretty straight forward. The credit hour has to do with the length of the class (sometimes) and how much the class is worth. So if your typical semester for a full time student means 12 credit hours, you have to take enough classes that equal 12, so two 3 credit hour courses and one 6 credit hour course would do it. The more credit hours per course the more homework you can expect too. Colleges also charge per credit hour, so a 6 credit hour course will cost more than a 3 credit hour course, but 12 credit hours regardless of how they add up still cost the same amount of money. Clear?

Technically, the credit hours is the number of hours that you spend in the classroom each week. However, that does not include the number of hours you spend outside of the classroom studying, practicing, reasearching and so on. Most bachelor degree programs require about 120 credit hours to graduate.

credit hours are oftentimes based on the kind of hours spent in college throughout a week for an entire term classification. a classification it fairly is 3 credit hours often meets the two Monday, Wednesday, and Friday for one hour each and each OR Tuesday and Thursday for a million a million/2 hours each and each OR as quickly as a week for 3 hours. throughout the summer season, the quantity of weeks interior the term are much less so the kind of hours spent in college are larger for this reason.

It means that's how many hours you have that class per week. 3 credit hours could mean 1 hour on mon, wed, fri. 6 hours could mean 2 hrs each on mon, wed fri, etc...
