Basic rules are to wear what you'd wear to your great grandmother's funeral.
No jeans
No sandals
No flipflops
No hoochey shirts or skirts
No belly showing at all
Nothing tight or revealing
No sweatshirts, t-shirts or hoodies
Simple pants and a blouse or sweater would be just fine.

If you're only 17 and have a ticket for Damage to Private Property and don't know what would be considered appropriate attire for court I feel sorry for you and wonder where your parents are.
Is it low cut????? Is your a$$ hanging out of it??????Is it so tight it looks like it was painted on???? Are you wearing enough makeup or high enough shoes that you could be mistaken for a hooker????
If your attire doesn't scream yes to any of these questions then your probably dress appropriately.

A nice pair of pants and maybe a solid color blazer that is fitted. If you do not own a blazer then be sure to wear a nice solid color sweater with a whiite button down shirt underneath it. Cuff the sleeves, that looks professional looking. You do not want to go in anything too tight or short. You are not going to the club and believe it or not the judge will notice how you look.

Wear something that shows you can act like a reasonable adult in American society. Don't wear too much makeup, too much will reveal you are trying too hard, and frankly it looks bad. Judges WILL judge you on how you dress and how you act.
If you came in wearing revealing trashy redneck clothes, I'm sure he would give you a different verdict than you dressed more appropriate for court.
A nice blouse, past the knees, maybe a grey vest over top. Casual.

Court can be a long long day, were something nice and not to sexy, dress pants and a button up shirt with nice shoes, No sneakers! If you were jeans the judge may ask you why you didn't feel you should dress appropriately. If you have piercings on your face you shouldn't wear them.

A nice pant suit or slacks and a blouse. Personally, I think a dress is too much, but that's up to you. Absolutely nothing above the knee or revealing in any way. Good luck!!

a skirt and jacket suit can go anywhere. dont wear big or gaudy jewelry, but only of good taste. Shoes should be pumps about 1 a d a half to two inches high. and hairdo, neat. Youll do fine. bettyk

You should wear skirts or dresses instead of pantsuits to look more feminine. Also wear black closed toe high heel pumps with sheer, light colored or tan hose, or dark colored hose, or go barelegged, it's your choice. I suggest U wear something that looks beautiful, but not too showy. If you like to wear pants with or without hose or stockings, that's fine with me too.
I greatly appreciate if you can please email me at gold3doug@yahoo.com & let me know what you decided to wear & why cuz I'm really curious. I hope you'll take my suggestions.
