My baby is 7 weeks old and i was sticking my tongue out at him last week and hes started copying he also finds it funny, he smiles everytime i stick it out, Bless him! it is normal - just enjoy it!

Yes this is normal- It's one of the first things a baby can explore! She'll be using that tongue to discover all kinds of things this next year- toys, teeth, food, etc... It can also be a sign that she is hungry.

My daughter did that very early too. I read somewhere that even when your baby is only a few days old and you stick your tongue out at them, they'll try to copy it. obviously i had to try it. and she's still doing it a lot now that she's 6 month old :)

aw bless, are u sticking ur tongue out at her? cuz it culd be her copying u!! i was playing wiv my m8s 3 weeks old neice by sticking me tongue out n then all of a sudden she copied me!!! oh me heart melted it were so sososososososo cute! just wanted 2 steal her away! cnt w8 til mines born so i can get her doing the same thing!

My wee girl was 6weeks premature and she done the same her tongue was realy long and we just thought this was realy funny shes now 2 and it done her no harm, just make sure you get a few photos to show her when shes older!!

My brother did the same thing.... The doctor said that his tongue was to big for his mouth.. & not to worry his head would grow bigger & then his tongue would fit......
Stop worrying mom... it's just fine!!!

Yes completely normal. Newborns do this when they're hungry! She's asking to be fed.
