When I turn it on the gray screen comes on, and the blue screen loads. it even says OSX loading, but then i just get a blank blue screen with a cursor. Anyone know what the problem is, or what I can do? I dont want to have to pay for parts when I didn't do anything to the computer.

extra hint... to see what is going on behind that pretty blue screen...

reboot and hold down cmd+v (for verbose) to see all the unixy stuff that is going on!

Perhaps it's a long boot because of disk fixing or it may just tell you what part of the boot process is dying!

Might be from incompatible login items.

If the above doesn't resolve your issue, I'd run these troubleshooting steps before doing an archive and install of Mac OS X.

i would try re-installing the OS. that seems to be a problem with the boot drive. i have always fixed it by re-installing the OS, but the downside is you lose all your files. if you don't need your files, thats the way to go. if you do, better go to a genius.
