My best friend needs help, she thinks her brother is gay, but she is scared to ask him directly because if it's false she'll be very embarassed in front of him. So she wants to know how to find out if he is gay, and I'm helping her out but I can't think of any way to help her, please, any ideas to find out without having him find out?

And why is she so eager to know? Does she plan to stop loving him?

I know that this sounds odd but she might not want to hold a mirror up to him too early and say "look here, you're gay!" (not that she would actually say something like that but that's how it can feel).
She can only (IMHO) be loving and supportive to her brother and make him aware that she's non-judgemental about these kinds of issues etc. If he choses to say something to her about it then that's his choice.

It was easy for my brothers and sisters to tell, because I'm kind of like the poster child for a rainbow boy.
But I think the only way to find out if she doesn't ask is for him to tell her. And I don't think she should pry. Only time will tell.

i would just hang out with my brother an ask casually how his love life is? ask whos the last person he went out on a date with an if he feels like meeting a friend of hers for a blind date an see how he reacts

She should be able to talk with her brother about this. If you can't be safely embarrassed in front of your own brother or sister, who can you? I always thought sibling relationships were made of sterner stuff.
The only way to tell is to ask.

well, unless there is some pressing reason for her knowing, why does she care??? IF he were gay, and IF he wanted her to know it, HE would tell her. Give the brother some space and let it go...this is no more than idle curiosity on her part.

In all honesty, your friend should mind her own business. Unless this male is in some type of trouble or severe depression, she should worry about her own life instead of worrying about her brother's.

Rule of thumb. If you are not ******* them or wanting to **** them then don't ask. Its not your business. If you really want to k now just ask. She will just have to get over herself.
