The smallest that is widely available: 17"

When LCD monitors were first introduced 8-9 years ago, the most common size was 15", but over the years demand dropped- the public wanted larger sizes, and manufacturers stopped making 'em that small.

They DO still exist but stores don't stock 'em, even sources like CDW usually need a few days to ship one, and they're often more expensive than 17" models! The best place to find a 14-15" flat panel these days is Ebay.

That's a great link above from prmaples- a bona fide 7" mini-monitor! VERY portable...

The ones on I-pods are about 2.5". They are flat panel LCD's.

Standard ones usually only go down to about 14-15"

IF you want one for a special display, you might be able to find something down to the 4" range, but you will have to do some hunting to find one.
