I charged it overnight, listened to it on the bus, and during second period, I turned the ipod off and put it on hold. For some reason though, my ipod does not turn back on (i turned hold off). I tried connecting it to my computer once I got home, but no light comes on, no sound indictating the usb port is in use, and itunes does not even pick up a connection. What could possibly be wrong??

Hold down the middle and top (menu) button at the same time for six seconds. This is called a soft reset. If this does not work, you will not be able to restore your iPod and will have to contact Apple for a replacement.

Go to Apple.com and read how to reset your iPod. That should take care of the problem. If not, you will have to reformat the iPod and re-load your music.
