When i was a kid my grandmother had to leave her home as 'ball lightening' came down her chimney and destroyed the house. It came down the chimney and went round and round the living room burning everything in its path. I always leave the doors open now. Paranoia maybe. But i was there and saw this thing.
It frightened me to death. Now my own kids switch off the electricity and leave all the doors open. Having said that, i love the freak weather storms. Love the thunder and lightening.
The only one in my neighbourhood to actually get outside and experience the thing.

Yes, although it is extremely rare, and there is debate as to what exactly it is or what causes it. But it has been reported enough and has even been phtographed before, so we can say that it does in fact exist, even if it's not fully understood yet.

It most certainly does and it has been known to roll down the isle of an aircraft in flight. It was also very common on board ships in ages past.
