All teams usually play 2,3 or 4 games in a row. It is because they travel from city to city and it cuts down on expenses. They play 162 games a year and play almost every day in the season. They cannot travel every day.

That's the way the schedule works. Otherwise the cost of travel would be astronomical. All teams play a "series" against the same team generally either 3 or 4 games to save on travel cost. Its always been that way. They also generally are at home for a while then on the road playing maybe 3 or 4 series during each stretch but sometimes more or less depending on how crazy the schedule makers were feeling.

In baseball, it is common to see baseball teams playing three games in a row against each other. Sometimes, there are for game series. However, baseball games don't last for three days. The Yankees aren't the only team to have that schedule. All 30 MLB teams will play three and sometimes four game series. Baseball isn't timed. It lasts for nine innings unless it is a tie.

The Major League baseball season has 162 games, and as you probably know, the teams are spread out across the entire country. In order to reduce the amount of traveling, teams will play 3 or 4 game "series" at one ballpark. That way it is not like the NBA or NHL where the teams often play a lot worse on the road, because they play Monday in Miamia and then tuesday in seattle and then thursday in Chicago. This way teams play in one town for a few games, then move to another town to play a few games, and then go back home to play a few games.

It's three separate games. In baseball they usually play the same team a few times in a row because there are so many games to play. If they played a different team every game, they would be traveling everyday of the week.

No, baseball games are run in groups - because of traveling, many out of area teams will play against each other for three or four days in a row - just for the ease on traveling.

What the other guy said. Also they keep them to help produce money for the other teams. If they do this the other teams would probably do this back. If one person has to work and they want to see the Cards play in Philly to boo Scott Rolen then they can see a game in a 3-4 game series.

In baseball, teams always play 3 or 4 game series, If the Yankees are playing Toronto, bring your broom. Cause Toronto will sweep.

They will be three separate games. Baseball teams play 162 games in 6 months (avg = 6 games/week). If they played fewer than 3 0r 4 games between travel dates the season would have to go into winter. Enjoy your visit to my country. I have visited London and Edinburgh. I hope that my countrymen will be as friendly, kind hosts to you as yours were to me.
