I want to know how I can find properties to buy which have been repossessed?

Why? Gone are the days when you get them any cheaper. Estate Agents are not allowed to tell you that they have been repossessed - or advertise the fact.

When a property is repo'd, the asset management company have to get 3 independant surveys to get a realistic asking price - so they now have to sell for market value. You then have to complete in 28 days - not easy if you are a buyer applying for a mortgage.

Why would you want to buy a house that some poor sod had been evicted from because they couldn't afford to pay the mortgage?

Its sick that companies make money like this.

Ever think about the families made homeless this way, many of whom only got into trouble with the mortgage because of illness or job loss?

The councils don't even help re-house them as mortage repossession is considered "Intentional" homelessness although how the hell they figure that one out I'll never know.
