I gave a notice at my job because I had been working there 11 months and requested an evaluation and a raise. (hadn't had either even though the policy says an evaluation after 6 mo) I am a good employee, do what I am supposed to, show up on time etc. My boss copped out and said that they give bonuses but not really rasies. That among other things added up which made me decide to take a job I was offered, and I gave a full two week notice plus a few days. A an ad was placed in the paper for my replacment which was a dollar more an hour than I was making and said experience a plus but not a must. They were willing to hire someone without exp for more than they were willing to pay me. Am I being over sensitive saying my boss is a butt hole?

Just keep your head up and move on from that job. Who knows the real reason behind what happened, but just keep in mind that what goes around comes around. Your former boss will get his back, maybe from the next person he hires. Take the new job, clear the old one from your mind and concentrate on the new place.

Boss sounds like a bit of an ******. Move on, be appreciated.
