Almost all of the hotels and the hostel in Montreal are not located in the Old Montreal district, but there are a few. Try the Lord Nelson.

the montreal YWCA has a hotel service on their 6 and 7th floors for both men and women at amazing prices...http://www.ydesfemmesmtl.org/site/29/default.aspx if u have a student id u get 10%. i have stayed there and it's very good! reccommend ut
