How come teenaged girls (ranging from 12 to like 16) are so wild? They're like so obnoxious and annoying. I'm 12 years old and in my school all the girls are like clones of eachother. They all wear the same types of clothes and act the same way just to fit in. they're just so obnoxious and fake. They're all just like "Oh my god you dirty little whor.e" and say things like that in a fake ritzy voice, you know what I mean? Why are they like that? I feel like I'm the only one that isn't like that in the whole school. They are so catty!

Michelle_rulz , I am a somebody. Just not a somebody that the rest of the world views "somebodies" as. I'm confident in myself and I really believe I don't need to change. I am an interesting person and I don't want to be viewed as that type of girl. If I have to change to fit in, then I don't want to fit in. I have plenty of friends and I'm not like an "outkast." I'm happy with who I am and I wont change just to "fit in." That'll make me just like the rest of them...

Sorry when I said "I am an interesting person and I don't want to be viewed as that type of girl." I didn't mean I didn't want to be viewed as an interesting person, I meant that I am an interesting person but I'm not going to show that qualitie "just to fit in" because I'm a very witty and outgoing person, but not the type that just uses that charm to "fit in"

It's hormones I think.
Just let them do their thing and you keep your maturity about you. You don't have to be to mature though. Try to do activities that teens do. But you don't have to act like those spoiled brats do. I know the type and most of them act out when they are unsure of themselves. Alot of the time they have issues of their own. Maybe their parents work alot and don't spend time with them or whatever.
If they say anthing about the way you are just tell them at least you don't act like an 8 yr old. Because actually they may not realize what they look like doing the goofy things they do.

Do your thing. You're normal. I did my own thing and I'm my own person now as an adult because of it.
Later in life you can look back as see what they've become. Some of them will do good, but others will not be able to make it without someone holding their hand.

Ok well you are an outcast. I am an outcast myself. And i hate people that try to fit in. You call them people preps. Preps do wear the same thing like that. They do try to fit in. They are so obnoxious and "catty". They are the kind of people that well, i dont like. And i have tons of friends as well. I mean i dont care what people think about me. If someone hates me then i hate them back. You will go very far just being yourself. I have been myself for 14yrs. now and im doing great. So treat yourself to a nice day at school. And i hope i answered your question.

I hate that too... people just act differently to fit in... because if you don't change or are interesting you won't have anyone. So you try to go along with the crowd even though it's the last place you want to be.It's basically change or be a no one. And most people don't want to be no bodies so they change... but I'm right with you.. it's annoying and wrong that some people will only like for those reasons.

Honestly, I think you did the right thing. It's better to be upfront about those kinds of things. You don't want to play with peoples emotions. So it's better to end things sooner rather then later, before she got too attached or anything. Don't worry about how she responded as long as you feel like you did the right thing. Personally, I think how she responded was immature. Honesty is always the best route.

Wow, you and my daughter need to become friends. I hear about that type of thing every day as she comes home. I'll tell you the same thing I tell her. Those girls are all insecure, and just want to be like the rest to fit in. Once they realize it's all stupid, you'll be ahead of the game and they'll all want to be around you. Eventually, they'll get tired of being the same, and grow out of being catty.

Well most girls are like that because they are either spoiled by their dad, but I grew without a father, and my mom never had enough money to get me nice things, so I grew up being myself, listening to Rock&roll making friends that are not catty. The only girls that are not catty are the ones who listen to Rock&roll, they are just weird and make up funny things about the girls who think that they are all that! Well I am one of those girls who make fun of the stuck up girls!!!! It is just not me to become popular and to get noticed by guys!!!! I was always a loner when I was younger, all the girls were mean to me, they used to make fun of the clothes I would wear, how I looked and all that stupid stuff!!!! I got used to hearing them crack their same-not-even-funny-jokes at me! It only made me stronger, because one time there was this girl that was talking her trash and pushing me around, so I got sick of it, I turned around and punched her right in the face, she fell over and started crying, I dont know how hard i hit her but I guess I hit her prteey hard, because I broke her nose, and my finger at the same time!!! So if they get to you, dotn even worry about it, becaus they are just unoriginal!!!!

Nicole, welcome to the wonderful world of the teenage years! Have you ever watched that program, "Mean Girls"? Hmmmm.......
Mean girls are everywhere! Get used to it. It's a dog-eat-dog world out there and when you graduate high school, it's going to be high school all over again, every college and job you go to. It's hideous the way women treat eachother!
Tell me about it, I am with you! BUT!!.....you don't have to be like them. They cannot control your mind or how your personality develops, you can beat them at their own game. Good for you!

I know what you mean. In 13 and completely sick of the bratty wannabes in this world. Why can people not just be themselves? Is there some sort of new law that i am unaware of?
