Does Pragmatism....?

emphsize scientific inquiry as the basis of truth, rather than inherited ideals and moral principles?

It is my understanding that it is quite the opposite. The essence of the scientific mind is that the scientist takes up a point of view which is sharply opposed to that of the pragmatists.
