On your old computer, plug in your iPod. Click on the small iPod icon. Go to the Settings tab if you aren't already there. Click the checkbox that says "manually manage music and videos." Then, click Apply.

Now, disconnect your iPod from the old computer. Plug in your iPod into your new computer. It should now allow the iPod to be used on your new computer.

Now, click on the iPod icon again. Go to the Settings tab if you aren't already there. Click "Enable Disk Use" and click Apply. A warning will pop up. Click OK.

To continue with transfering songs from your iPod onto your new computer, go to the websites below:

If you use a Mac with an iPod, use this website:

If you use Windows with an iPod, use this website:

I wrote this based on if you have a video iPod. It should be the same thing with the other iPods so if you have an iPod Shuffle or iPod nano, it should be fine.

Usually programs like itunes does not allow you to use two computers because they consider it stealing. If I were you, I would burn all your existing songs onto C.D.'s. Then, you can import them into your computer. Beware, though, make sure that you purchased the songs. If you downloaded illegally, itunes will recognize that and you will end up paying a small fee. If you have purchased and downloaded the songs from itunes, your music files should move when downloading your new itunes.

do no longer delete your library. I-tunes makes it so as that if the songs that are already on you I-pod isn't interior the library on the time of syncing, to be deleted at that factor and replaces it with the content cloth at present on your library. this replace right into a sparkling addition to the I-tunes a pair months in the past. Prevents someone from getting loose usic from pals and such. So next time determine you maintain ur finished library and confirm you delte purely the music u do no longer choose on ur I-pod out of your library. wish this facilitates.

In addition to www.ilounge.com tutorial, you could move your itunes to an external drive from your old computer, then hook up the external drive to your new computer, and then hook up your iPod. Don't forget to de-authorize your old computer. You should be able to authorize up to 5 computers.
