My daughters ears were pierced at 8 weeks. She did fine and she still has them pierced- She wasnt old enough to mess with them just the occasional bump. But she was old enough that she didnt do that flailing arm thing that new borns do Good luck!

When I was a baby the Pediatrician used to offer the service. But eventually malls were doing them and nobody asked their drs anymore I guess .... My baby dr said whenever you are ready but realize the care you will need to give them. ITs just ur preference. If you look at other countries babies can handle a small hole in the ear ... in some countries they are doing much larger things for their cultural beliefs

Some ear piercing places wont pierce baby's ears until after the second set of shots. Bring shot record. The best place to have it done is at the doctor.

I have two daughters (13 years old and 4 months old) and I got both of their ears pierced at age 3 months. Anytime after their first set of shots to help build their immune system it's safe.

My mom had my ears pierced while i became six weeks previous. The gun actual have been given caught on my ear, i've got been informed, and it became caught there for 2 hours whilst we went to the well being middle to get it bumped off. In all honesty, i actual prefer my mom had by no ability had it finished. i'm able to't placed on jewelry anymore simply by fact the holes have healed over and that i'd desire to get them re-pierced, yet from my ears turning out to be over the years, the hollow is truly severe up, sufficient that i'd desire to get a 2nd piercing decrease than the 1st. i'm additionally notably comfortable to different metals in my ears which I actual have been informed via some docs is truly probably simply by fact they have been pierced at an exceedingly youthful age. i do no longer understand, for me, I prefer it were my determination, yet my mom desperate it would seem "lovable" truly after i became her first little lady after having 2 boys.

Not before the first round of vaccines - at about 8 weeks old. HOWEVER, many places won't do it to a baby under six months. I work for pediatricians and they won't pierce ears under six months old. Also - the earlier you do it, the bigger the risk of keloid scars - those are those big, nasty, ugly, raised red scars - behind her earlobe. (That happened to my niece when they pierced her ears when she was 4 months old, they had to take them out when she was 9 months old, and repierce them when she turned 2.)

I think anytime after 1 week. I waited till my girls were old enough to ask for them but that was a personal descion. Maybe u should look for a place that has two guns so they can do both sides at the same time to make it a little less painful

first i just want to say congrats on your baby girl. girls are so sweet. at least, while they are babys. you can dress them like you. and the pink and yellow clothes are so cute.

okay, the doctors say you can pierce after 3 months. i pierced my now 8 month old daugters ears when she was 5 months. she didnt cry, but then again she really tough. she doesnt cry when she gets shots, either.

any time!

i had my ears done when i was 4 days old because i was born in spain and its tradition over there.
because they are so young there skin is ultra soft and will heal quickly. just make sure to get really good quality baby earrings to pierce them with, adult ones wont do.
