Sounds like discharge which you can get alot more of during pregnancy and can feel a gush every now and then.
With my 3rd baby, my water aws leaking for a week before it broke completely and gushed out. When my water was leaking , I could feel gush when I would stand up and it would run down my legs. It was clear and didnt smell like anything. I was 34 weeks when it actually broke completely. Wear a pad for the day and see if you leak anymore. If you get alot on the pad then its probably your water leaking. Otherwise it may just be discharge. Oh and no I didnt get contractions when it was first leaking. Those came when it broke completely. It is possible to have a slight tear in the amniotic sac

With my first pregnancy my water broke when I was 30 weeks along and I never actually went into labor. I know you don't want to hear call your doctor, however your doctor will have you come in and do a test to verify if it is amneotic fluid or not. If your water did break, however you aren't going into labor they may admit you to the hospital - like I said though, I was only 30 weeks along when this happened so since you're already 36 weeks along they may just induce you and take that baby out!

I didn't have contraction with none of my kids (I have 3) until I was 8 cm and the head was down there. My water broke on the first one about a week after feeling some much pressure i could hardly pick my leg up to put my pants on without crying. My second and third one the doctor broke my water for medical reasons

Sounds like it could very well be. The tan color could be your show. Call your doctor and they will tell you to come in. You don't have to have contractions when your water breaks. AND.. you have to deliver within 24 hours to decrease the chance of infection. Sounds like you may need an ambulance. Do what you have to do to make sure your baby is OK. Call and if they tell you to GO IN! I had a baby at 36 weeks and he was fine. Yours should be too. Good luck

Call your doctor immediately! My doctor said that anything over 35 weeks could be considered full-term!!! And your 'water' doesn't smell like pee, and it is very thin. It doesn't rush out of you like in the movies, sometimes it only comes out when you lie down, cause standing, your babies head plugs the outlet. Also, waiting can be dangerous because the less water in your uterus, the higher your chances of you or the baby compressing the cord and causing serious damage. Call your doctor NOW! and congrats....your about to be a new mom!!!!!

I had the same thing happen to me when I was esactly 36 weeks pregnant. I went to the hospital and they told me it wasn't amniotic fluid, but for the whole week I leeked fluid, and at 36 weeks and 6 days, I had alot of fluid, and after an hour, I had strong contractions and gave birth in 4 hours, narrowly getting to the hospital before I gave birth. To be for sure, go to LAD and get checked.

You goo'd... groose!

Hehe.

When your water breaks it's warm liquid, not creamy... it's like water.

No you don't get contractions before your water breaks in some cases. You've been misinformed.

Put on a maxi pad and wait 10 mins, if it's heavy and full of liquid (not just stained with discharge) then you're water has broken.

Sounds to me though that your baby just dropped.

Even if your doctor's office is closed, you can still call them. The message on their answering machine will include a number to call in case of emergency, call this number and your doctor or one of his partners will be paged and call you back.
Alternately, look up the Labor and Delivery phone number of the hospital you will go to and call them. A nurse there will be able to tell you if you should go in.
