When did Sojourner Truth preach for women's and African American rights and when did she speak out for blacks to be able to fight in the union army?

Sojourner Truth, whose real name is Isabella Baumfree, in 1826 she escaped slavery. It was not until June 1, 1843 she began to preach the abolotion of slavery. During the American Civil War, she helped recruit black troops for the Union. I don't believe African Americans were ever unable to fight in the war (any many were forced to do so.)
