I has my 1st ultrasound last week and I thought I was 7w6d (according to my last period). But, when they measured the baby it was showing I was only 6w3d. My doctor is concerned and is having me come in tomorrow for another ultrasound. Should I be worried? I have been stressing about this for the past week. Has anyone been through this and everything turn out ok or even not ok?

So I had my U/S today. Things still don't look good. Doctor is weird about the baby's heart beat. It's only at 86 bpm and the baby is measuring st 6w6d. (last week it was 6w3d) so now my question is has anyone had a heartbeat very slow and everything be ok? My husband and I are losing our minds trying not to stress and knowing that there is nothing we can do about it but pray. My next U/S is next Wednesday so hopefully things will get better. The baby looked bigger too this week :(

No, please do not worry.
One question you might ask is if you have a retroverted uterus (tilted). Often women with a tilted uterus look one to two weeks behind and this is normal. The theory behind this is that the beam is parallel to the baby and you cannot get an accurate visual with a transvaginal ultrasound.
I always look 1 1/2 to 2 weeks behind during my first trimester ultrasounds and then during the second trimester with the abdominal ultrasound, my measurements are right on.
A good site to visit is www.misdiagnosedmiscarriage.com You'll see from all the stories that measuring behind is very, very common during the first trimester even in those of us who were 100% certain of the exact date we conceived.
Hope this helps :)

I know that it is much easier said than done, but you should make every effort NOT to stress yourself like this. Stress is not good for the baby. Thats only a week or so off and the doctor just probably wants to double check and be thorough. Going by your last period isnt really an accurate measure anyway. Just take some deep breaths and wait for what the next ultrasound says.

Considering that the baby's heart beat is only 86, that's why your Dr is concerned. Not the size of the baby. For some reason the baby's heart isn't beating as fast as it should and that's not a good sign. I don't mean to sound cruel, but it sounds like you could be miscarrying. I truly hope that you aren't and I wish you and your husband the very best with whatever happens.

This is only 10 days out. Seeing as all babies are different and everyones cycles are different, I wouldn't worry too much. Your doctor has to check everything and be satisfied it's ok, thats his job!!!
I had my 10-12 week scam at 10 weeks 3 days, my daughter measured 11 weeks 4 days. This is all based on averages!

that is totally frequent to ask your self. yet risk is there is not any longer something incorrect with your toddler, and truthfully, aggravating won't do any stable. Your rfile would discover some issues with the aid of an ultrasound and/or blood assessments, so with a bit of luck that would desire to convenience you fairly. additionally in case you haven't any longer have been given genetic problems on your loved ones, there is even much less risk of a few thing being incorrect. attempt to concentration on the stable issues which will take place, no longer the undesirable issues which could circulate incorrect. savour the closeness of your toddler interior you for now simply by fact very quickly that time will end. good away you would be retaining your suitable toddler.

Don't be worried...it is only a week difference. Ultrasounds are just estimates and can be off sometimes. It happens to people all of the time and they go on to have healthy full term babies.
Also one is going off of last menstral period which just may mean that you ovulated just a little later than what you thought.

Yeah, dont worry too much about it.
When I was pregnant, I had 3 different due dates.
My baby was still later than all of them predicted.
The tests will just be routine to make sure the baby is growing at the correct rate. Afterall, we cant be certain on the day of conception so please remember, these dates are only guides.
Good Luck! and congratulations!

the thing is the scan is still probably the best way to date the baby as there could be reasons why you are out by a week ie. you ovulated later than the text books say, dont worry both of my dates were out by over a week and baby came when it wanted to on both occasions and were healthy and well.

There really shouldn.t be anything to worry about. I'm on my third baby and every single ante-natal appointment they have given me a different EDD (estimated delivery date) or a strange measurement which means the baby is too small or too large, etc, etc. Suffice to say I have two very healthy daughters, and , God willing a healthy baby boy on the way.
Relax and try not to worry - don't be like me - still worrying on number 3!!!! Your baby will be here, healthy and loud soon.
Take care of yourselves.
