First buy a soft brush made some claim to have animal hair like horse, this works fine but any soft brush will help, use this brush will help to take the dust off,if you have some tough stains deep on the sweade, digg in to your lil'sister back pack and find an eraser, YES an eraser, use the erase and "ERASE" the stain you may apply some pressure, now if the stain still is being stubborn use hand liquid soap and water with a tooth brush, dont forgert to clean the side of the shoe sole, with a dry hand towell or a cotton rag wipe the exess water allow to air dry, I suggest that you buy a water repellent spray, just incase some drunk bubba spills some beer while at the club, you can do all this in a tight budget but if you want run to the mall and buy a kit that is for sale at any footlocker, big 5,journeys champ, sport authority, even payless carries them, i sugest that you buy them from journeys.... good luck P.S

Depends on the material of the shoe but a dampened cloth will adequately clean the shoe or you can buy specialist shoe cleaners from supermatkets and footwear shops

you buy new ones, its really hard to get out the stains in timberland's because the boots are made of a porous material that absorb stains and grime.
