Listening to a song that gets you in a really good mood can help.
Eating really good nutritious food (and some Gatorade) would probably help too. Extra practicing so you could practically play basketball in your sleep would also be helpful. Team sports can be anxiety provoking because you probably have a fear of letting the team down, and that's a totally normal way to be, and shows you're a nice person. Also keep in mind that there is a difference between being the best and playing YOUR best.

I'm a swimmer, and although it is nothing like basketball, I find the best way for me to concentrate is listen to my music and stretch. This way my mind is focused on my body, not just the music or my surroundings. It's also a great stress relief before a race!

Have you tried NOT trying to focus? Don't force yourself, and don't think about it too hard. Basketball is all about reactions and instinct-if you're focusing too much, you'll start playing badly due to overthinking it. Do you get what I'm saying? Relax, don't think about your game, whether you'll do well or badly, and once you get out on the court, try and clear your head. Play what you know.

The best way to focus for your games is to use your imagination.
SEE yourself doing the activities perfectly. See yourself making the shots, doing the defense and the offense just the way you really want it to happen. This is what pro athletes do, they envision themselves executing everything perfectly and it always enhances their performances.
I feel you are putiing more thought into what you don't want to happen and that is what you are creating. Only envision what you WANT to happen. Remember to feel how it will feel to you when you have had a great game, how proud and exhilarated you will feel. This works every time!
Blessings!

I play ball and for me stretching, doing some jumps then listen to some get hype music. Then i like to sit down and mentally picture myself having a good game then say a lil prayer and ball my heart out. It all comes down to your skills tho and if fee it( you know what i mean either you feel it or not). When i'm doing good or bad i tell myself "stick to fundamental ball"

Well i'm not a basket ball person.. but i do do some sports. You Should Just Try Concentrating.. Talk to your friends and ask them what you should try doing. Even just breathing right can make a difference
Good Luck :]

Breath and think only about the game. Visualize success. And if that dosent work then stop thinking about boys or make up or your apperance.
