Can I go to any bank & get some money? My bank is out of town because I just moved to a new residence, & I need cash fast because I'm going out of town. How can I get fast cash if I forgot my PIN #?

Wow, that's a crazy situation and I've been in it before.

Call up the bank and ask them where their nearest branch is. In most cases you can only pull out money from their bank and not other banks. They will probably send you a new atm card in the mail with a new pin code following. But that will take time. Depending on the back maybe the operator will tell you the atm pin, but this is very unlikely 'cuz it would be a huge security risk.

If you really need cash fast. You can use your debit card as a credit card. Go with one of your friends to the store and tell them that you'll charge whatever they are buying on your card and ask them to give you the cash. Just remember when the lady asks you if the card is debit or credit to say "credit," 'cuz then you won't have to punch in the pin. See if this works first. My debit card does it.

Another thing you can do if you have any credit cards is to call them up and ask them if you can take out a cash advance. And then you just have to bring your drivers license to any bank with the credit card and its like your charging cash. The bank will give you cash. It'll just show up on your next month's statement on your credit card. Some credit cards might have high interest rates for cash advances, so pay it off right away.

Also if you have any checks. Write your friend a check and ask them for the money.

I've been in this situation before and it sucks. So that's why I stick with like washington mutual, citibank or chase because they have branches all over.

Good Luck.

You'll have to go to a bank teller and provide verification of your identity. Take your bank statements with you, along with a driver's license.

You can write yourself a check to "cash" at any branch of your bank.
