I am currently working on a project for my college in which they want me to create a website for a charity organization. According to the assignment I am to embed a blog into their website so that the organization can post news and personal thoughts.... The only problem with this is that I have only been working with HTML for about 2 or 3 months and have never done something so complicated.

A blog is mainly PHP, good ones anyway.
If you have a host, then you should use a WordPress blog, on your own host, but if you don't then you can do an iframe to a blog hosted by WordPress on their site.
