Nothing. I see a lot of complaining about the Patriot Act, its all unsubstantiated bullcrap. The morons who are saying the Patriot Act is bad are brainwashed dolts. The Patriot Act does not violate anyones civil liberties. Half the people in this country don't know what a real civil liberty is. They think everything and anything they do is a civil right.... WRONG. Now Democrats firmly believe in a socialist style of governemnt. That means they control everything. They take your money, tell you what you want and need, and how to live your life and pay for it with the money they take. Pay close attention to what the Democraps do. They promise health care for everyone free. Not going to happen. They've had several chances and nothing happened. Bush at least got some sort of Medicare through, but the Democraps chopped that up to the point that its almost useless. They promise free welfare and OUR sosical security to people who are here illegally and broke our laws. They promise a lot of things and never ever deliver. They will raise your taxes and tell you its going towards good social programs and make you feel bad for objecting to their taking your money. Then they will turn around and spend it on special interest projects. Whats hysterical is that they constantly blame and accuse the Republican party of doing just that when in fact that party rarely does. Hypocracy is the word. Liar is another. Democrats will not stop until they control every facet of our lives. A fine example.... the Liberal Democratic state of California is drafting legislation to mandate that people living in California are only allowed to use Compact Flourescent light bulbs. What next, only burlap toilet tissue?? Sorry, you cannot make love without explicit permission from the Liberal Democrat gestapo. Sorry, cannot poo today, Democraps say no poo making on odd days they must cut down on waste. They should cut themselves out if that was their goal.

Between passage of the PATRIOT Act, acquiescing to Bush on habeas corpus, and putting forth anti-flag-burning amendments sponsored by Hillary Clinton, I would say Congress is doing NOTHING to allow citizens to keep control of their own individual liberties.

The record of THIS Congress is yet to be written. The last Dumbya Congress are those late great folks who gave you the so-called "Patriot Act" and rubberstamped domestic spying and executive fiat detention of even citizens. Down with Dictator Dumbya!!!

Congress is NOT making every single law that they conceivably could.

They're not. Year after year, they're trying to increase what they have power over. This year, it was trans-fat.
