There is an inherent problem with the question. People often forget that the UK is a great place to live, it's why so many people want to come here.
The media have created a fear reaction in the general public which is incredibly usually out of proportion to the actual issues and the government are tied into the media circus by reacting to the papers/news instead of actually dealing with issues appropriately.
But actually, the reality of living in the UK is that it's a wealthy, healthy, safe place compared to most of the rest of the world. Most (but not all) people have a chance to thrive here. Remember, everyone living in this country is in the top 1% wealthiest people in the world. That, my friend, is not a bad place to be

I like the UK alot they seem to have an open democracy without so much inability to criticize the government and they have great comedy shows. I think british girls have a very saucy accent huge turn on. They are just a great country they do drink alot which kinda scares me some.

I think i must be living in a different country to all those who moan and groan about the UK. I have a great life think that people of the UK have never had it so good and wouldn't want to live any where else anywhere in the world..
Hip hip hooray! for the UK!

Those answers are Americans on Yahoo UK. Don't buy a word of it. The only thing UK is piss for is government controlling the people. If you are one of those who say "Oh well I'm a prissy fa*t I've got nothing to hide", then you will love it here. The rest of us prefer Cuba.

A lot of people have lost their identity and feel the country has been given away. Everything about England is made to feel an object of apology and younger people do not seem to have been educated in English culture and scientific expertise. They have nothing to be proud of and no sense of nationhood. The country is governed by the Scots and we are all guilty!

We are all disillusioned, Our soldiers are fighting a war we didn't want using equipment that is sub standard, our manufacturing is being moved abroad our social housing is being taken by economic asylum seekers (I do not have a problem with real ones ) our children can afford to buy homes our wages have dropped because migrant workers will work for a pittance in skilled jobs... granted they are hard working but they are devaluing the British worker.and they do not spend the money in our economy thus the shops are going out of business
Before anyone gets upset.......
six polish guys sharing a house can afford to pay 150.00 per month each or £900 per month to rent a property
a father and mother with two children cant.
The national health service is over loaded the education system is failing pensions that have been paid into for years have disappeared leaving our OAP nearly destitute, and we can not even celebrate being english in case we upset someone of a different culture, even if we allow them to celebrate theirs wouldnt you be p....d off

It feels like we have been hands bound and mouths gagged, when it comes to defending any freedom of speach and thoughts that we have against the way this once great nation is being sh1 t on and abused. Everything is geared so as not to offend or upset ethnic majorities and we are becoming the minority in our own country. Apart from all that everything else is just fine here in the UK, (NOT).

Because the whole system is failing. The NHS is slowly dying, the transport system is gridlocked. Basic utilities are costing more and more and the individuals right to an opinion is being slowly curtailed.
But apart from that the weather can be lovely sometimes!
