normally it's a 50/50 chance but there are some things (edibale) that can increase the chances of having a boy .......like "dates" or "strawberries" which increase the chances of having a boy but still it's not 100%

Some people swear by the "Shettles" method. It is a method used in which you time intercourse according to what gender you want. It is based on the theory that girl sperm swim more slowly but live longer, so if you want a girl, you should have sex a few days before you ovulate. Whereas with a boy, you should try to have sex as close to ovulation as possible. There is some truth to this method; for example, a disproportionate number of babies born by artificial insemination are boys because in AI one generally times insemination as close to ovulation as possible. But it is not foolproof by any means and you still have a good chance of having either gender.
There's also the option of IVF, where embryos can be selected by gender. Not all clinics will do that, and it is very expensive.
But ultimately, if you are getting pregnant the old-fashioned way, you have a pretty good chance of having it either way. So you need to come terms with both.
I won't get into ethical implications, but that is something else to consider as well. Do we really want a world where people can choose the sex of their children?

You can't pick the gender...sorry. I'm not sure why you would want to pick or why you value one gender over the other...let me guess you want a boy right????
You can't decide what you will get...just be happy with either! You should be wishing for a healthy baby instead of a certain gender!

I have no answer, just some trivia to ponder.
Some studies suggest that female sperm live longer and have better motility than male sperm. So if you have sex before ovulation, there might be a better chance of it being a girl. But if you want a boy, try to have sex a day after ovulation. The weak, lazy male sperm need to meet egg right away, within the fallopian tube.
Realistically, though, pinpointing the exact time of ovulation is so hard, and how would you do it before you ovulate?...

If you have money then you would be able to talk with a genetic specialist or your OB-GYN and they can take your partners sperm and find the sperm that has the male or female gene and implant it into your egg. Then put your egg back in you and you can have the sex you want. But why go through all that just to have the child be a certain sex??? I have a beautiful little boy and I am pregnant with my second...I wanted a girl but guess what? Another little boy! I am due in 1 week!

it is very easy to get you pregnant but you can never be sure which gender you have because some can have both girls and or boys and then again some can only have one or the other and to get pregnant you have to have sex aith a male partner

That's funny. No one decides the gender of your child...not even you. The old wives' tales about sexual position, what you eat before you have sex and all that is pure crap. DNA decides the sex of your child...and that's that. But if you don't get what you preferred the first time around...keep trying.

it is not possible to choose the gender of your child. the only thing that decides the baby's gender is the father's genes.

If it were possible to choose the gender of your child I probably would not have 3 girls right now. Just be happy with what God has chosen to give you.

There are some theories of things that will help you decide the sex of your baby, but many times these aren't true. Just be happy with what you have, it will be perfect for you!
