In my mind there is a difference between an equal rights activist, and a feminist. An equal rights activist to me is exactly what it sounds like, but to me, a feminist seems like an anti-male militant organization, and, the very few feminists I have personally known, certainly propogated that point of view.

No, because I consider myself one. I've met some other feminists, too, but they aren't militant or anti-male. Some out there are, but they're not all that way. I took a class during my freshman year of college that dealt with feminism, and in it we talked about this sort of thing. The ones that do "male-bash" have given the rest of us a bad name, and that makes it difficult for others to take our cause seriously.

Hi,
Not competely.. feminism has got many good aspects to it.. like equal rights.. I think women SHOULD have a fair and equal right..
BUT I think before feminism you need ot take care of racism.. there is still massive discrimination against immigrants and minorites..
Some aspects of feminism I hate!! like the additional sexual liberties.. that has resulted in record high divorce rates, infidelity rates and sexually transmitted disease rates.. child abuse rates, child homelessness rates.. not to mention the abortion rate and the fact that since women have gained power in society.. that few women have stood up to proclaim any differnce ot society .. in fact most women I know have become the idential female version of the much hated male stud!! now its a lot of attractive females who are sleeping around.. this can be directly attributed to feminism and is a major flaw of it..

It's kind of hard to despise people who have dedicated a better part of their lives to making sure all are treated with fairness and have the same chances. So, no, I do not despise feminists.

Only mysogynists by definition despise feminists.
Everyone has a right to be pissed off about the things they believe, and when someone attempts to subvert someone else, totalitarianism is inevitable.

Nope. Proud feminist since 2003, when I actually learned that the world as it is now is extremely inequitable, and that sexism is still a terrible problem today.

"Despise" that is a BAD word ,,you might go to heII doing that.
Just define where does feminist move from just an ignorant, insulting hag to traitor.
I supported that ninny from California into office. Now the sin of my past will affect whole nation ...
I'll go to HeII for that one.

No. But they should emphasise the equality of the sexes...
That is enough, nothing more, nothing less.

Hahaha, totally!
I think that women should have close to equal rights, but hey, if there's another draft we should be thankful we don't HAVE to physically fight. I dunno.
And I think listening to old men talking about women's rights are the funiest things ever. "They're letting women DRIVE now?"
