In however manner you lost that job, it should not be the be-all, end all... try to be proactive and understand that this could be a beginning of another interesting phase of your life. Focus on what lies in the future and do not mope on what is gone; if at all take every lesson learned from the past job and apply them in the coming days... look at the glass half full. The days ahead would mean you can now do the dozen dreams you have wanted to do before when you were still tied down to the job... and remember keep you time well worth it... enjoy life and live it!

I was laid off from a job in 1993 after working all my life in the same field. I felt like I no longer had an identity because it had always been such a major part of my life. I eventually found other work in the field, and as a matter of fact...a better one. But during my jobless period, I pretty much felt useless. I no longer felt productive or like I was contributing to my own life. I honestly don't know how some people actually enjoy not working.

M ,
a job is not a spouse child parent house or even a pet. it is a Just Over Broke position so NEXT. the average person will have 10 -15 jobs before 'retirement' even college grads.
the trick is to realise that you are a contractor at a job and you will get an other. you didn't marry the company so say NeXT.
