Tracy McGrady is a great player but he has yet to lead a team out of the first round of the playoffs. Now I'm no Rockets fan but I have to admit they're playing really well this year and they will make the playoffs. Now I don't think they'll win the west, but will they at least make it out of the first round?

It will be interesting to see. If looks like Phoenix and Dallas will finish with the top two seeds, so Houston wouldn't have to play them until the 2nd round, given, they find a way to win their first round matchup. I can't see the Rockets finishing any lower then sixth, or any higher then third (as far as the seedings), and since the third seed plays the sixth seed, and the fourth seed plays the fifth seed, in the first round, that means they would either play San Antonio, Utah, or the Lakers in round one. I don't like their chances against the Spurs, but I give them 50-50 odds against the Jazz, or Lakers. If McGrady and Ming are healthy come playoff time (which is a big "if") they could be a dangerous team in the post season. However, I don't see them winning the west either.

Probably not. More than likely the Spurs, Suns, and Mavericks will be ranked 1,2,3 in some order. If they could get ranked in the 4 spot, that would be their best bet, but more than likely that's going to go to the Lakers or Nuggets. Which means the Rockets will be playing either the Spurs, Suns, or Mavs. And I just don't see them beating any of those three teams. Even if they were the 4 seed they would have a hard time matching up with the Lakers or Nuggets.

well if they are matched up against Dallas, San Antonio, or Phoenix then no. If they play Lakers, Clippers, Twolves, Denver, or Sacramento then they will....they are the 3rd best team in Texas

If he does then it will be because of Yao. T-Mac is a stat hog, like Dominique Wilkens. He can't win.
