A G-string or thong is a narrow piece of cloth or leather, or plastic that passes between the buttocks and is attached to a band around the hips, worn as a swimwear or underwear by both men and women. The two terms G-string and thong are often used interchangeably however, the primary difference between the two garments is that a g-string has less material between the legs, hence a string-like appearance. Variants of the thong or G-string include the V-string, a thong with a triangle "v" of cloth with the G-string between the legs, and the T-string, where a single string passes around the waist and between the legs, forming a T between the buttocks.

A g-string is smaller than a thong. It's simply a string that goes around your waist and between your butt cheeks, while the front consists of a very small piece of material designed to simply cover your labia. I find g-strings more comfortable than thongs, and if I'm wearing underwear it's definitely a g-string.
By the way, the name goes back to the early days of burlesque when g-strings were worn by strippers. A musician (or so the story goes) commented that the string part was no thicker that a g-string on a guitar, and the name apparently stuck.

It depends on which country you are from.In Australia a g-string is a type of underwear and a thong is some thing that you wear on your feet,where is a g-string in Ireland is called a thong.

A G-string literally has just a piece of string that goes up your butt..A thong has a wider piece of material..

a g string is all thin string except for the part in the front. the back of one looks like a T. you know what i mean

a gstring you can't see it is between your cheeks completely, but a thong you can still see, and the thin part is thicker than a g string
