It seems like it's always the woman that has to come up to the plate and save the finances or taking care of the problems in the house. It seems men have more important things to do like sleep and watch the game.

Oh, I don't know...it could be that they work hard all day to provide women with shelter and food. Yeah, how selfish of them to want a second of relaxation or comfort. (said sarcastically) And not all women are that responsible, not all men are that irresponsible. You may be responsible, and that's great. But most of the women I've seen/known are squandering their money on crap like manicures/pedicures, spa days, frou frou house crap, and clothes. If you can say you never take naps, never waste time watching a stupid program on tv, never waste time EVER, then fantastic. But you question seems hypocritical to me. So I disagree, but I respect your opinion.

I don't have more important things to do, I just don't have the know how to handle the finances. I am not ashamed to ask my wife if and when I can spend money. As far as the problems in the house go, I am not there during the week so she has to handle most on her own. I do what I can on the weekend. I am more comfortable having her take care of both because I would probably screw it up. But, I am there for her when she needs me. Don't get me wrong on that part. She may handle most of both, but I am not lazy or have more important things to do.

not all men are like that! I am 23 and have been married for almost 2 years and my wife and I share responsibility. I never make her take care of everything. she takes care of paying bills and balancing the check book but believe it or not I do most of the house work. she cooks and I do dishes. believe me it's the best way to score points for yourself at the end of the night.

It's kinda the downside to feminism. Although we are now almost equal in the workforce, somehow we've not been able to relinquish any of our domestic responsibilities. So we get to be superwoman and they get to be bumps on a log.
