I think it would of been a hard fighting battle, but I'd say The Greatest Of All Time Michael Jordan would pull it off by a hair... I think MJ is the only player in history that could beat a team by himself.... There been plenty of teams that try to stop him but they all failed... He's the only player in history that had a team defense named after him (The Jordan Rules)......and it still couldn't stop him.

The Greatest Of All Time Michael Jordan!

MIchael was IN his prime in the 1980s, but he couldn't get out of the eastern conference.

It's already been pointed out to you that Jordan never even played on a winning team until he got Scottie Pippen as a teammate. In the five years he was without Pippen, he played on five losing teams, 3 with the Bulls and 2 with the Wizards.

Meanwhile, in Scottie's two years without Michael, the Bulls were 55-27 and 47-35.

What more proof do you need, other than wins and loses?

So if Jordan only plays on winning teams when he has Pippen as a teammate, how does he beat the 80s Lakers by himself?

Sounds like you've got some 'splainin to do.

Just fyi, Jordan's career W/L record without Scottie Pippen as a teammate was 182-228, a .443 winning percentage (averages out to a whopping 36 wins/season LOL). And again, he had five losing seasons in those five years.

(The reason I'm telling you about Jordan's record is so you don't have to add up a lot of big numbers, and then have to do a couple of division problems on top of that... I realize that this kind of math might be too advanced for someone still practicing their 1-9 addition tables).

Let's see...what else?... oh yeah...almost forgot... Jordan's not the greatest of all time LOL

This is such a simple question. Lakers in the 80s would not only win but DESTROY the Bulls. By the time Jordan collected his multiple titles the league was already so watered down due to expansion and the lack of true superstars. Take any 9 players from the Lakers rosters and they're good enough to be starters in today's league.

In addition to the Lakers starting 5 of Magic, Kareem, Worthy, Scott, and AC Green you have McAdoo, Rambis, Mychal Thompson, and defensive specialist Cooper all coming off the bench to destroy the Bulls.

There's no way Cartwright can guard Kareem as he's the X-Factor and alone can torch the Bulls for 40+. Cooper will be hounding Pippen all day and disrupting his game. Rodman will be kept in check by backup center Mychal Thompson while Byron Scott will dominate John Paxson.

The Bulls reserves? Wennington, Scott Williams, BJ Armstrong, Rodney McCray and Steve Kerr would be like watching middle school boys playing against the Lakers 2nd unit college all stars.

Sure the Lakers lost to the Bulls during the 91 finals but that's only because Worthy and Scott was injured. Simply put, Magic would rack up endless assists, Kareem will dominate the middle and while MJ is counting his points Coop and the rest of the gang will shut down Pippen and the rest of the garbage players on the Bulls squad.

It'd be close, but I think the 80's Lakers would pull out the win. Jordan was a great player, both offensively, and defensively, and I think Scottie Pippen is one of the most underrated players around,

Having said that, the Bulls team would have NO answer of Kareem Abdul Jabbar at center. The Bulls teams didn't have alot of great big men at center. Also add in the fact that Magic had the skills to get the ball to Kareem whenever he wanted it and that Magic could space the floor out brilliantly and could get it to any one of his talented teammates, as well as score at will. Add James Worthy and the rest to the equation and I think they'd come out with the win.

I think it'd be a great game though, and it'd be damn close. I'd be a game I would love to watch..

Well since you have already made up your mind, I'm going to disagree. I bet your no older than about 15 years old. Anybody who watched the 80's Lakers knows that the 80's Lakers, the 80's Celtics, and the early 80's 76ers would destroy any team of the 90's and 2000's including your MJ teams.

I will have to go with the 80's Lakers. One man can't do it alone. Not even Jordan.

James....did you not read my answer to YOUR QUESTION regarding Jordan without Pippen?

There's absolutely no 'accuse' for you even asking this.

Have a nice day.
