American obesity and social issues in general are becoming the butt of many jokes all over the world really..

U win WW2.. and have done nothing since to bring about world peace.. instead USA has commited war after war ever since.. watched halof of Africa die from either curable or treatable disease and starvation.. and made its own society a very fat, dysfunctional one.. with the highest divorce rate on earth, highest imprisonment rate on earth and one of the worst domestic violence problems in the modern world..

and the world is laughing at you all.. not just the fat ones..

Because obese people are the one unprotected class of people that everyone can make fun of without offending most others. For example, when a white comedian makes a"white" joke, everyone laughs - but make that same joke a "black" joke and half the audience may be offended and he is labeled a racist. The same goes in reverse - if a black comedian makes a "black" joke everyone laughs - but make it a "white" joke and the other half of the audience is offended. A comedian of ANY race can make that same joke a "fat" joke, and everyone laughs. Doesn't make it right. that's just the way it is!

No one should ever be the butt of jokes, or be at the expense of others amusement. Whether you are overweight or skinny, you are who you are and others should accept that
