Yes, The Righteous Apples was shown on PBS from 1980-1982. I was a comdey drama that aired for only 20 episodes over two seasons. It followed an ethnically diverse rock band at Sherman High School in the Boston area. It dealt with serious topics like race and abortion. An album of songs from the series was released during the 80's. In the series finale, the Apples made it to Hollywood. The show featured Kutee, Bob Harcum, Elizabeth Daily, Joey Camen, and Mykelti Williamson.
